User Guide

Getting started

Sign-up to first chat takes about three minutes. The wizard handles the rest.

Create an account

Open your AgenticLover.ai instance and click Register. You'll need an email, a password, and a username (3 to 30 characters, letters, numbers, and underscores). If your instance has them configured, you can also sign in with Google or Discord.

Pick a username you'll be happy with. You can change it from Settings → Player, but only once every 90 days.

The Setup Wizard

Your first sign-in drops you into the wizard. It's six steps. Any step can be skipped with Skip for now and reconfigured later from Settings, but answering them here is faster.

Style

Cloud or Local storage. Cloud syncs chats, personas, and memories across devices. Local keeps everything in this browser. You can switch later from Settings → Privacy.

Provider

Pick the model backend. Built-In is hosted by Agentic Lover with no API key. OpenRouter gives you 100+ third-party models with your own key. Ollama and LM Studio point at a local model server you already run.

Config

Paste the API key, base URL, or model the chosen provider needs. Built-In skips this step.

Content

Switch NSFW on or off. NSFW on unlocks adult scenarios, image generation, and toy controls. Flip it later in Settings → Content.

Images

Pick how photos appear in chat (let the AI decide, every few turns, or off) and which backend draws them: Cloud (Ethumia), ComfyUI, or Automatic1111.

Meet Raven

Raven is the default persona. Say hello in the input box and press Start chatting.

On Local storage, export your data from time to time via Settings → Privacy. Local mode lives in your browser's storage. Clearing browser data erases chats and personas unless you have an export.

Your first chat

After Raven's intro, you land on the chat page. Type a message, press Enter, watch the response stream in. That's the whole loop. The rest of this guide is the stuff you can layer on top.

Getting back to the wizard

The wizard runs once. To change any answer, go to Settings. Providers are under AI Providers, image backend under Image Generation, storage mode under Privacy, NSFW under Content.

Early-account checklist

  • Set a nickname and pronouns in Settings → Player so personas address you correctly.
  • Pick a theme in Settings → Appearance. The default is fine; a few of the alternates look nicer at night.
  • If you're going to connect a toy, read the Devices page first so you know what your browser needs.
  • Read the safety note on the Devices page before pairing anything.
